I, too, struggle with the whole pride thing. I suppose the real difficulty is separating pride from confidence. How is one confident without being a bit prideful? I asked my husband about my vices, and he’s all like “THE DOG’S BALLS” which … really dude? WTF?

You and I have different ideas about forgiveness — “And grudges, in my most esteemed and humble opinion, show the lack of capacity to forgive. And I believe I can forgive the knife scars in my back.” — there are some actions, some betrayals, I can never, ever forgive. I can learn from them and move on with my life, but the one who committed them isn’t worthy of forgiveness.
