We didn’t plan a Girl Talk Thursday post for today since it’s Thanksgiving (here in the States anyways) and we’re all off purportedly eating too much, drinking too much and being festive and happy. Who has time to write when we have stomachs to fill and pants to unbutton, no? But I wanted to take a moment to let everyone who has joined Girl Talk Thursday, who has posted and commented, who has laughed and reflected, divulged and gasped, that I am very thankful for you all. Thank you for being the guaranteed “me time” bright spot in my week.
When I started my “The Mess Potential is Exponential” blog last April I had no real goal other to create a place for me to be me. It was a time when I needed to pick myself up off of the basement floor of my heart and figure out who I was. Looking back, it was the end of one of the darkest, loneliest times I’ve ever been through despite having a wonderful, perfect husband and two beautiful, smart, amazing little boys.
So Maria, Tatiana, Diane, and Caitlin, and all you Girl Talk Thursday participants and readers (even if you don’t post, I know many of you read!) - I can’t tell you enough that I adore you and appreciate you every day.
Thank you to my girlfriends everywhere – you know who you are. Without you, I wouldn’t be me. And I’m beginning to like me again.
Now go eat some good food. Gobble. Gobble.
